To celebrate the end of the year, members of the Danville Spanish Club, along with advisor Amber Taeger, headed to downtown Burlington for a fun and cultural experience! The group enjoyed a delicious meal at Lindo Mexico, where many students stepped out of their comfort zones to try new foods and drinks. A special thanks to owner, Maria, who spent time sharing her story, family traditions, and heritage with our students. The celebration wrapped up with sweet treats from Mississippi Moon Ice Cream Parlor — the perfect way to end a fantastic year of learning, friendship, and fun. #BearNation #WeAreDanville

Yesterday, students from Mr. Rose’s World History II class took a short walk up to the Danville Station to tour the newly constructed WWII Railcar Exhibit — featuring an authentic railcar like those used to transport Jews to concentration camps during the Holocaust. While there, students also learned about the Postcard Project, a powerful initiative to collect 1.5 million postcards from around the world — each one representing a child who lost their life during the Holocaust. What an incredible gem to have just blocks away from our school. A big thank you to the Danville Station for providing such a meaningful and moving experience to our students. To learn more about the exhibit or get involved in the Postcard Project, visit danvillestation.net or follow Danville Station on Facebook! #BearNation #WeAreDanville
