In the middle of Tuesday night’s severe weather, when chaos broke out and people were scrambling for safety, one of our own stepped up in a big way.
Danville High School freshman Ethen Jones didn’t just run for cover, he ran toward someone in need. Seeing a younger student from WACO on crutches struggling to get to shelter, Ethen picked him up and carried him to safety just seconds before dangerous debris hit the field.
This is what it means to be a Danville Bear.
Courage.
Compassion.
Leadership in the moments that matter most.
We are incredibly proud of Ethen for his quick thinking and selfless actions. His decision made a real difference and is a powerful reminder that character shows when it counts.
Join us in celebrating Ethen and the example he set for all of us!

Saturday night our gym was completely sold out for the Danville Dinner Theater, and what an amazing evening it was! The event truly showcased the incredible talents and dedication of our students and staff.
Guests enjoyed a full evening of entertainment featuring student performances from across our fine arts programs, highlighting the hard work and creativity happening every day in our classrooms. From music to performance, our students put on a show that made the entire community proud. 🎶
The night also included a live auction and silent auction, along with a wonderful dinner and dessert served by our students. Guests even had the chance to visit our student-run soda bar, which was a big hit! 🥤🍰
Events like this remind us just how special our Danville community is. When students, staff, families, and community members come together to celebrate and support our schools, great things happen.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped organize this special evening. Most of all, we are proud of our students who showcased their talents and served our guests with professionalism and pride.
It was truly a night to remember! 💙🐻

We are proud to recognize Linkoln and Beckett for their outstanding work in this year’s Science Fair! Their project, “Phase 1: Testing External Construction Materials to Improve Residential Fire Resistance,” explored how different building materials can impact fire resistance in residential structures.
After completing their testing phase, the boys are excited to begin analyzing their data and preparing their final presentation. Their hard work and curiosity paid off. They earned an impressive 26½ out of 30 points, placing them in the Top 30% of projects and they also earned the Inspiring Excellence Award!
Projects like this demonstrate the creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem solving our students bring to the classroom. We’re proud of the effort Linkoln and Beckett put into their research and can’t wait to see what they discover as they continue analyzing their results.
👏 Please join us in congratulating them on this fantastic accomplishment!
