MEET ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR
AMBER TAEGER
Hi! I’m Amber Taeger, and I serve as the Activities Director and a Spanish teacher at Danville Community School District.
I love helping students find ways to get involved because I truly believe activities are such an important part of the school experience. Whether it’s athletics, clubs, music, or another interest, these opportunities help students build confidence, create friendships, and discover their strengths.
My background includes teaching Spanish and coaching athletics. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to coach volleyball and softball and work with a variety of athletic programs. I’ve also been involved in professional organizations that support world language education and athletic administration. One of the most rewarding experiences has been organizing and leading international student travel, giving students the chance to explore language and culture beyond the classroom.
I also serve on the Danville Rec League Board of Directors, which keeps me closely connected to youth activities and our local community.
My husband, Luke, and I live in the Danville district with our three children. Being both a parent and an educator here means a lot to me, and I care deeply about the success of our students. I’m excited to help create opportunities where every student can find something they enjoy and feel proud to be a part of.
