The Beginning Band Instrument Night is this Thursday, Sep 16th from 5:30-6:30 pm in the JH/HS Music room. During this time parents and students will be able to learn more about joining band, ask questions, and speak with our West Music representative about instrument rental. Danville High School Homecoming 2021 - Homecoming Week will be September 26 through October 2. Powderpuff Football and Volleyball will start the week on Sunday, September 26. The week concludes with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday Night, October 2. Student Council will be meeting next week to fill in the weeks activities and coordinate the parade and coronation activities. We will keep you posted.

What a great day at Danville Elementary! Our students spent the day learning all about the B.E.A.R. Expectations. They rotated through several different stations, met Blaze the Bear, and even got to watch some of the staff showing off their best dance moves. It was a great way to end our week and learn all about B.E.A.R. Pride. #gobears
Reminder: Wednesday August 25 at 8am will be the day for senior banner pictures done by Studio K in the HS GYM. All seniors interested please ask your coach for your uniform between now and Wednesday and return it the same day as pictures unless you have permission to turn it in another day. If your coach is not in the building find me 6th or 7th period.

JH FOOTBALL will start the first day of school Monday 8/23/21 bring a water bottle , wear shorts, tshirt, and cleats and meet outside under the shelter house by the concession stand. You will also need a current physical , concussion and consent forms completed. Practice will be 4pm-6pm.
JH VOLLEYBALL will start practice on Tuesday 8/24/21.You will also need a current physical , concussion and consent forms completed. Practice will be 3:45pm-5:30pm in the JH GYM.
The Danville Community School District is hiring for para-professionals to work in the JH/HS and Elementary. These positions are part time position working daily 8:00am to 3:30pm. The person in this position will work when school is in session and is not scheduled to work on holidays, vacation days, days school is closed due to weather, or other times when students are not in attendance. This position offers three (3) personal days and fifteen (15) sick days per year. If interested, please contact John Lawrence or Debbie Bennage.
Back to School Night is Thursday, August 19th. Elementary (4PK-6th grade) is from 4:30-6PM, JH/HS 5-6:30PM for students and parents.
Feel free to take your back to school pictures that night. Once again, this year, parents will not be allowed in the building on the first day of school.

Also, JH/HS schedules will be e-mailed out and available on JMC prior to Thursday . If a student is needing a printed copy, please stop in the JH/HS office during the back to school night.
Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center will be offering baseline concussion testing for all local high school athletes. The testing will be conducted on the West Burlington campus at the Wellness Plaza’s athletic training room and will take approximately 45 minutes per athlete. No appointment is needed on August 19th, 12 pm-6 pm.
