The Danville Community School District would like to welcome Dr. Kari Kephart. At the March 9th school board meeting, the school board approved the 2 year contract for Dr. Kari Kephart. She will assume the role of elementary principal starting with the 20-21 school year.
Dr. Kari Kephart has been in education for seventeen years. She taught elementary school for eight years and has been an administrator for nine years. She has served as an elementary assistant principal, an elementary principal and a district superintendent. Born and raised in Maryland, Kari and her husband, Jason, along with their two daughters, Brooklyne and Madilyne, moved to Kansas in 2015. They are looking forward to planting their roots in eastern Iowa. Dr. Kephart earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Mount St. Mary’s University, a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Salisbury University, and a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Dr. Kephart is a growth-oriented leader who believes in doing what is best for students and helping all students achieve at high levels. She is looking forward to joining the Danville staff and working with students, parents, staff, and the community to help build bright futures for all Danville students.
