Danville CSD, with an approximate PreK-12 enrollment of 670 students,
is seeking an exemplary educational leader to serve as Superintendent
starting July 1, 2017. The selected candidate will be offered a competitive

THE SCHOOL DISTRICT:
The approximate PreK-12 enrollment for the district is 670 students. The
Danville district has earned a reputation as one of the best school systems
in southeast Iowa. The district enjoys a large open enrollment into the
district—195 students in the current year.
The district is very proud of its excellent facilities. In 2013, the district
opened a new Tornado Safe Room which is also the home of the Early
Childhood Center which serves children from two weeks old up through
elementary age. All grades are located in one building. There are two
- one individual serving grades 7-12
- one individual serving grades PK-6

Danville is a bedroom community of Burlington, Fort Madison, and
Mount Pleasant. It is an easy drive to Iowa City (60 minutes) or to the
Quad Cities (90 minutes). There is a strong agricultural influence as well.
The community sees the school as the heart of the community. Geode
State Park is adjacent to the school district’s boundaries and offers boating,
fishing, camping, and hiking opportunities.
