Nomination papers for Student Body President and Vice President can be picked up TODAY in the HS Office.  All signed forms need to be returned to the office by April 28.  Campaigning can begin May 1.  Elections will be May 11, and the winners will be announced Friday, May 12.

 

                         HIGH SCHOOL & JUNIOR HIGH SPORTS

 

HS Girls Soccer Pictures will be taken at 8:30 on Thursday April 27th.  Meet in the HS office

 

   HS Girls Soccer at Wellman depart at 5 PM 

   Varsity Girls / Boys at Columbus dismiss @ 2:20 depart at 2:30

   HS Coed track Meet at Mt. Pleasant depart at 3:45

 

 

2017 Chute Offensive Skills Basketball Camp    At: Danville High School 

June 7 & 8      4th – 12th grade girls and boys 

8:30 – 11:30 HS               12:30 – 3:30 Elementary / JH                                 

Cost: $70         Forms Due:  THIS THURSDAY  April 27

Turn forms & $30 Deposit in to: Coach Hartman or the H.S. Office You may pay the deposit or full $70 at this time. Those paying the deposit will need to pay the remaining amount the first day of camp.  Make checks payable to “The Chute”

 

CAREER CENTER NEWS:

Silver Cord Opportunity: The local Pheasants Forevers Chapter is looking for volunteers for the upcoming Youth Jamboree at Big Hollow on May 13. They particularly needs assistants with the trapshooting area. Please see Mrs. Alberts for contact information.

 

 

Iowa 4-H Youth Conference, June 27-29 All students who have completed 8th-12th grade are eligible to attend. This is for ALL youth not just 4-H members.  Housing and the conference are on the Iowa State Campus. There is $180 fee to attend.  For more information go to the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference website or contact your local County Extension Office.

 

Reminder: There are no job shadows, college or military visits allowed, outside of the school day, during the month of May.  

 

Old Threshers Sweet 16 Contest- Informational meeting will be held Saturday, June 3 at 2pm at the Old Threshers Office.  For more information please see the bulletin board outside the Counseling office.
