Danville Junior/Senior High School is part of a K-12 building located at 419 South Main in Danville, Iowa. Danville is situated in the southeast corner of Iowa near Burlington on the Mississippi River.

Danville Junior High School hosts 7th and 8th grades, approximately 90 students. The junior high curriculum consists of Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies for core classes. Exploratory classes include nine week courses in Keyboarding, Industrial Technology, Family & Consumer Science, Quest, Careers, Spanish, and Art. Chorus and Band are electives. We also offer 8th grade Algebra for advanced math students. A Success Center is available for students who may need extra help with their school work. Extracurricular activities available to junior high students include football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, track, cross country, soccer, baseball, softball, cheer leading, spelling bee, and geography bee. Nearly all junior high classes are housed in new or newly remodeled classrooms.

Danville High School ( approximately 180 students) offers a wide range of classes to students in grades 9 - 12. Courses range from core requirements to advanced math and science to vocational classes to fine arts. Students may find their niche in Building Trades, Physics, Calculus, Spanish, Foods, Theater, Current Affairs, Environmental Science, Creative Writing, or Independent Reading. There is something for everyone. Juniors and seniors have the opportunity to take classes at Southeastern Community College just a few miles away.

Extracurricular activities are an important part of Danville High School and help develop many life skills in our students. Sports available to our students include football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, wrestling, track, cross country, baseball, and softball. The Danville basketball Bears won the boys state tournament (2A) in 2001 and 2002. We have had state participants in soccer, track, and cross country. Danville also boasts an outstanding reputation in show choir, speech, and theater, and have just recently started mock trial. The Vocal Chords have won numerous awards at show choir invitationals and consistently receive I ratings in contest. Danville speech contestants are always exciting to watch and are regulars at All State Speech. Come check out all our trophy cases and see what Danville students do in their “spare” time.

The faculty at Danville Junior/Senior High School knows and believes in the young people in our charge. They are constantly searching for new and better ways to serve the future citizens of our community, state, and world. Staff members have high expectations for students, and are willing to work with them to achieve those expectations. Danville High School serves approximately 180 students in grades 9-12.  We have a strong tradition of academic excellence, and achievement in co-curricular and extracurricular activities as well. 

We have an outstanding faculty of caring teachers who work closely with all students to ensure that each student has a positive and personalized experience at DHS.  Students also have the opportunity to take college-level classes for dual credit with the post-secondary enrollment opportunity (PSEO) offered through Danville High School in cooperation with Southeastern Community College.  These classes can be taken on campus or online.
